Meet The Team

Cody Sobieski has served as President and CEO of Texas State Title since the company was founded in October of 2010. With over 20 years of experience in the title industry, Cody has been responsible for closing thousands of complex transactions and is well versed in all aspects of commercial real estate. This knowledge allows Cody to serve our clients with exemplary service in all types of commercial transactions from open to close.

When he is not closing transactions, Cody enjoys spending time with his wife and three kids. In addition, Cody currently serves on the young professionals development board of UTHealth as well as the finance committee of his church. Mr. Sobieski holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Texas A&M University.

Kim Sobieski has served as Executive Vice President/Partner of Texas State Title since 2013. Kim brings over 42 years of experience in the title industry including commercial closings, title examinations and underwriting. He has owned and operated a small title company as well as large Houston title companies and a national underwriter.

Kim primarily is involved in special title projects, mineral issues, finding solutions to title issues and coordinating with underwriting counsel. He has been a Member of the Board of Directors of the Texas Land Title Association as well as a Director on the Board of Title Resources Guaranty Company. He enjoys spending his time with his six grandkids, cruising to anywhere and working on his property in Cat Spring, Texas. 

Tiffany Barnett is a Vice-President and Escrow Officer with Texas State Title's Commercial Team where she strives to provide the highest quality title solutions regardless of the size or complexity of the transaction. Tiffany spent the first decade of her career in residential real estate where she relied on her market knowledge to assist her clients in making informed decisions when purchasing their homes.

Joining Texas State Title in 2015, Tiffany leverages her expertise in sales and service to seek the best solutions for her clients. She instinctively takes a "big picture" approach to each transaction ensuring that her clients receive exemplary service. In her spare time Tiffany enjoys being a busy mother of two active daughters and spending time with her husband in Katy, TX. 

Shannon began her career in the title industry after graduating from Texas Tech University with a Bachelors Degree in Marketing. Shannon has been in the business since 2016 and has responsibility for all commercial business development in the Houston Metroplex at Texas State Title. She is a Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo volunteer, member of the Bay Area Commercial Real Estate Network, ICSC, and a 2019-2021 Executive Board Member for the Texas City/La Marque Chamber of Commerce. Shannon graduated from the TC/LM Chamber Leadership Mainland program, TLTA Land Title School, and the TLTA Alex H. Halff Leadership Academy. She was the youngest member of The Galveston Daily News 40 under 40 in 2019. 

Susan Bryant is a Transaction Specialist and Escrow Officer with Texas State Title’s Commercial Team as well as an assistant to Cody Sobieski and Tiffany Barnett. She began her career in the title industry in 1994 working with a National Commercial Division located in Houston. Susan has coordinated countless complex transactions throughout her career and helped facilitate commercial closings all across the country. She has a long history of experience in the commercial title industry from foreclosures to construction and development projects. She joined the Texas State Title team in 2020 and has been a valuable team member. Susan’s calling is coordinating commercial transactions from opening through closing and is willing to tackle any curative matters along the way. She excels in managing multiple tasks simultaneously which helps her successfully meet the needs of all our clients and ensure closings stay on track. In her free time Susan enjoys attending outdoor concerts and festivals along with refurbishing old furniture pieces at her home in Spring. 

Colleen Buchanan joined the Texas State Title commercial team in 2021 as a Transaction Specialist. Colleen assists in obtaining and coordinating all documents required for closing various types of commercial and residential transactions.  She maintains detailed internal checklists and confirms that all of her clients know exactly what will be required of them for closing.  Her impeccable attention to detail allows her to assist her escrow officers in complex commercial transactions and work alongside them to ensure a seamless closing experience for everyone involved. Prior to joining Texas State Title she worked in commercial real estate leasing, property management and residential real estate transaction coordinating.  In her free time, Colleen enjoys reading, traveling around Texas eating BBQ and spending time with her husband and rescue pup.
